On April 13 and 14th, the St. Augustine Velofest was held in the Old City Historic District to celebrate bicycles as a mode of transportation, means of excercise, and social interaction. After a bike parade was held on Day One, the event culminated on Day Two with a criterium race (crit) on a short course using streets anyone having visited the city will recognize.
Competition cyclist Graham Partain attached GoPro cameras on two bikes to record a well edited video. Featured in the video are local riders from Space Coast Velo Sport and the Infinity Bike race teams, including Daniel Ciuro, Phil Moore and Ruben Darancou.
Some may remember Graham as a former president of Space Coast Triathletes and Race Director of the Rotary Pineapple Man Triathlon. He now lives in Clermont, activley surfing and competing on the Florida cycle race circuit. With his permission, the Velofest crit is posted here.
